Christy Audeh (she/her/hers) is a second-year medical student at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. She graduated from the University of Virginia in 2022 with a BA in Medical Anthropology, Ethics, and Care. At UVA, Christy was involved in projects related to cultural psychiatry and opioid use disorder. She also worked as a historical tour guide at Monticello and UVA, where she undertook independent research on the eugenics movement and wrote a tour on the history of medicine. Before matriculating into medical school, Christy was a post-baccalaureate trainee in the Biomedical Ethics Research Program at Mayo Clinic, focusing on research related to non-pharmacological pain care and flourishing in medical education. At WFUSM, she is involved in pain and addiction education, harm reduction volunteering, and research in ethics and anesthesiology.
