Travis Pickell, MDiv, PhD is Assistant Professor of Theology & Ethics and Director of the Character Virtue Initiative at George Fox University. He is a scholar of religious ethics, with a particular focus on the intersection of religion, medicine, and society and the author of Burdened Agency: Christian Theology and End-of-Life Ethics (University of Notre Dame Press, 2024). At George Fox, he helps direct the Cornerstone Core, an innovative, virtue-based Christian liberal arts general education program.
