Faith (she/her/hers) currently works as a Research Assistant and Project Manager at the Hastings Center for Bioethics. She graduated from the University of Toronto in 2023 with a double major in human biology and immunology and a minor in history and philosophy of science. She went on to complete an MPhil in History and Philosophy of Science and Medicine at the University of Cambridge, graduating in July 2024. Her master’s thesis explored how notions of therapeutic effectiveness are employed in research on psychedelic-assisted therapy. Broadly construed, her areas of interest include: biomedical research methods and human subjects research; science and technology studies (STS); social epistemology; philosophy of psychiatry; psychiatric ethics; phenomenological analysis; narrative medicine; and the impact of scientific explanation on self-concept.
