Alyssa Burgart, MD, MA, HEC-C (she/her/they/them) is a Clinical Associate Professor of pediatric anesthesiology in the Stanford University School of Medicine. She also serves as affiliated faculty in the Stanford Program in Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies in the School of Humanities and Sciences.

Alyssa is the co-chair of the ASBH Pediatric Ethics Affinity Group and member of the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Bioethics Executive Committee. At Stanford, she is the Associate Director of Pediatrics in the Stanford Center for Biomedical Ethics, Medical Director of Ethics and co-chair of the Ethics Committee for Stanford Medicine Children’s Health. She actively supports the Medicine and the Muse program in medical humanities as the Associate Director for Symposium. She is also the co-president of the Stanford Chapter of the American Association of University Professors.
