Ph.D. Student
Saint Louis University
Saint Louis, Missouri
I am a PhD student pursuing PhDs in philosophy and health care ethics at Saint Louis University. I am primarily interested in the relationship between social metaphysical categories and the clinic. In particular, I am interested in the ways that new clinical technologies may exacerbate discrepencies in care for patients on the basis of such categories. Prior to my doctoral work, I taught philosophy classes and introductory bioethics courses at Houston City College and Lone Star College. I have an MA in philosophy from the University of Houston and a BS in mechanical engineering and philosophy from Northeastern University. I reside in St. Louis where I spend my free time taking care of my cats, my plants, and my sourdough starter.
