His research centers on the ethics of informed consent, with a dissertation that re-examines consent as an exercise of moral powers that extend beyond mere permission-granting. More broadly, his work engages themes in ethics and moral psychology, investigating how autonomy, understanding, and interpersonal dynamics shape moral life. His recent projects explore the moral dimensions of forgiveness and the theoretical implications highlighted by artificial-intelligence systems.
