Dr. Emilee Coulter-Thompson (she/her) is a public health social worker with more than two decades of leadership experience in research, community organization, and policy and systems change to advance health equity. She currently serves as Managing Director of the Center for History, Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences, and Ethics in Medicine (CHHASSEM), which is an expansion of the Center for Bioethics and Social Sciences in Medicine (CBSSM), at the University of Michigan and co-leads Michigan Medicine’s LGBTQ+ Health Advisory Committee. With the State of Oregon from 2006-2016, she worked to improve the public’s health in various areas and served as deputy to the director of the Oregon Health Authority Transformation Center. In addition, she has advocated for survivors of sexual and domestic violence and taught yoga for trauma healing. Emilee earned her BA at Miami University (Ohio), MSW at the University of Michigan, and Doctor of Public Health Leadership (DrPH) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
