John Y. Rhee, MD MPH, is a neuro-oncologist and palliative care physician at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Instructor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School. His research interests lie in supportive care interventions in brain tumor patients, using artificial intelligence and large-language models. He is a member of the Pontifical Academy for Life, the bioethics advisory group to the Vatican, and his ethics interests include ethics in AI, personhood and cognitive decline, and end-of-life ethics. He is the co-founder and Executive Director of the Hippocratic Society, which provides virtue ethics-based formation to clinicians and trainees.
