Michael Sweeney, LMSW, graduated from the University of Buffalo School of Social Work in 2019. With a diverse background in Child Welfare, Substance Use, Mental Health Counseling, and Medical Social Work, Michael is committed to creating safe spaces and amplifying the voices of those who lack a platform for self-advocacy. Currently, Michael works with the Palliative Care team and serves as a Bioethics Consultant at Roswell Park, supporting a wide range of patient populations, including individuals with addiction, complex mental health issues, developmental delays, incarcerated patients, immigrants and refugees, pediatric patients, and more.
