Blessing Temitope is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Religion. Her research interest stands at the intersection of African Philosophy, Christian Theology, and Science, Bioethics. Her current research engages the applicability of Personhood from an African perspective and personhood in Christian Theology (the Imago Dei) to discourses on human enhancement technologies, gene editing and cognitive enhancement innovations. She is also interested in dicourses about ethics of artificial intelligence, bioethics and human subject research. She holds a B.A. in Religious studies, M.A. in Philosophy of Religion (both from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria), and an MSc in Science and Religion from the University of Edinburgh, UK. She enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling.
