Jasmine Ariel Keyes is a third-year PhD student in the Department of Anthropology at Vanderbilt University, with a specialization in medical anthropology. Her research critically examines the reproductive experiences of African American women within clinical encounters in the southern United States. Her research interests also encompass the applications of medical technologies and diagnostic frameworks, examining how colonial legacies shape contemporary embodied experiences through the lens of phenomenological and epistemic justice frameworks.
